Year 3 WEMT Course Outline
Year 3 (in 2026) Term 1 courses are designed to ensure that students meet the high academic standards expected for forthcoming NAPLAN and the 2027 OC placement test.
In addition to having the advantage of getting ahead, we will put more focus on improving writing skills as well as reading comprehension, numeracy and writing skills to enhance their high performances at school.
With a strong academic foundation, they'll be ready to tackle this challenging exam with confidence. Through a rigorous curriculum, we enhance their abilities in reading, writing, mathematical reasoning, and critical thinking. Each course not only strengthens essential skills but also nurtures a love of learning, equipping students with the strategies they need to excel. Year 3 WEMT Course Content
The Year 3 WEMT course will introduce the new modules with updated curriculum and require a significant commitment of weekly module to build a solid foundation for the 2026 NAPLAN and 2027 OC placement test.
The writing module will cover the most efficient ways in organising writing structure with a focus on developing critical thinking and reasoning skills.
English lesson will focus on reading skills, practising reading comprehension and multiple-choice questions.
Mathematics lessons are essential for students to thoroughly understand mathematical theories, principles and formulas to solve problems.
Thinking skills component will cover a variety of practical, challenging and mind-stimulating questions in problem solving and critical thinking skills.

OC Trial Test Course (OCTTC)
OC Trial Test Course (OCTTC) is a significant for Year 4 students who will sit for the OC placement test in May 2026.
By taking OC trial tests on a weekly basis, students will be able to systematically build up their exam skills and be confidently prepared for the actual exam.
The courses consists of different types of questions and reflects the format, timing and conditions of the actual exam. It will help students to manage the test time efficiently, minimise errors, overcome exam nerves and perform at this or her optimum level.
