Year 1 Course Outline
Year 1 (in 2025) Term 1 course has been designed to ensure that students meet the high academic standards expected at the time of the year.
By attending our course, students will reinforce the foundations of their learning and get ahead of their peers.
In addition to having the advantage of getting ahead, students will be introduced with a new general ability (G.A) module to develop their general ability skills, as well as reading, conventions of language and numeracy skills for future exams - NAPLAN and OC placement tests.

Year 1 Course Content
The Year 1 EMG course requires a significant amount of weekly work in the subjects of English, mathematics, and general ability, which reflects the advanced level of the curriculum.



The English lesson will focus on reading comprehension skills and practising spelling, vocabulary and
conventions of language.
Mathematics lessons will be involved with various maths topics to make them understand
mathematical theories and principles.
The General ability lesson covers basic concepts of in verbal reasoning skills.

Year 2 WEMT course is designed to ensure that students meet the high academic standards expected at the time of the year.
By attending our course, students will reinforce the foundations of their learning and get ahead of their peers.

In addition to having the advantage of getting ahead, students will be introduced with new thinking skills modules to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills for their future exams such as NAPLAN and OC placement tests.
​
The course will also put focus on improving students' reading comprehension, numeracy and writing skills to enhance their high performances at school and in the 2026 NAPLAN tests. ​
Year 2 WEMT Course Content
The Year 2 WEMT course requires a significant amount of weekly work in the subjects of Writing, English, Mathematics, and Thinking Skills, which reflects the advanced level of the curriculum.




The writing module teaches how to structure and organise your writing persuasively.
The English lesson will develop techniques to tackle challenging texts and ace multiple-choice questions with confidence.
Mathematics lesson will gain a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, formulas, and problem-solving techniques.

Mind-Stimulating Thinking skills component will challenge yourself with engaging exercises to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
