Year 6 + Course Outline
6+ English:
Prepare to dive deeper into English with our all new ELA Essentials for High School Preparation Curriculum. This streamlined and engaging program covers a wide range of foundational topics, helping students strengthen their analytical, writing, and comprehension skills - key abilities for success in Year 7 and beyond.
Term 2 Topics include:

Mastering the Building Blocks: Nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and advers.

Sentence Structure and Variation: Phrases, clauses, affixes, and roots.

Literary Devices: Figurative language, comedic techniques, and poetic devices.

Persuasive Techniques: Developing strong arguments and persuasive writing skills.

6+ Mathematics:
Our 6+ Maths program is designed to give students a strong launchpad into high school maths. The course revisits essential Year 6 concepts while introducing key Year 7 topics, helping students build confidence and deepen their understanding through engaging and practical activities.

Selective Trial Test Course (STTC)
Boost your child's confidence for the 2026 Selective School Exam with our STTC!
This comprehensive program dives deep into the exam, familiarising students with the format, timing, and conditions they'll face on test day. Through weekly trial test, they'll tackle a variety of question types and learn powerful strategies to succeed in the exam.
There are two tests each week – Mathematical Reasoning + Thinking Skills every second week, and Reading + Writing on the alternate weeks.
Cyberschool will offer extensive revision materials throughout the course, including the STTC challenge for reviewing reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning and thinking skills tests, and additional reading test (1 + 1 reading), writing retests and vocabulary practice tests.
